Sunday 160 - in the here and now

Time and time again I forgave you.

I now see how my forgiveness fostered your malicious behaviour;

you had no incentive to stop.

Now it is me I need to forgive!

  5. I can relate to this; it's almost sort of like giving to someone you think is in need of it and giving some more until they just take it for granted and you're the one left broke. I like the 160-thing :)

  7. That's when you simply have to forgive yourself and move on. Keep your eyes open and don't let it happen again.

  8. Painful lessons learned here. Sad to think of forgiveness inciting a malicious response, but it happens.

  10. Possum,

    I loved that. Forgiveness is my biggest demon.

    I wanted to reply to your comment to me today, but make sure you saw it. Thank you for taking the time to say those kind sentiments. I'm sorry you've had this harsh brush with the situation.

    How can one really prepare? Isn't it a bit like being a cruise passenger, preparing for a theoretical emergency sinking?

    wishing you good things
